From A Small Start
To A National Movement.
Clean Up India began in Junagadh, Gujarat, in November 2024 as an initiative founded by Influx Media with a simple goal: use on-ground cleanup drives and powerful storytelling to build civic sense among people.
As the initiative gained attention, people from other cities started reaching out and creating local teams around the same purpose. What began as Clean Up Junagadh gradually grew into a wider movement — Clean Up India.
Today, the movement is built around a simple model: local teams take responsibility for local action. Coordinators, core members, and volunteers in each city plan drives, build communities, engage with residents, and work on the issues that matter in their own surroundings.
While every city operates at a local level, teams remain connected through a common identity, mission, and set of values. They share ideas, systems, experiences, and learnings while supporting the growth of the movement across India.
There is no single person or team behind every action. The movement continues to grow through the people who step forward in their own cities — those who organize drives, bring others together, spread awareness, and keep showing up.
